6/9/13: Special Combined Worship Service

Central will have ONE special combined installation service this Sunday, June 9 at 10:30 a.m. as we install Josh Sabo as Lead Pastor and Mary Ellen Sharp as Associate Pastor. Both locations will assemble at our downtown Springfield location so we can worship and celebrate together as one church family as we welcome Josh and Mary Ellen into their new roles.

We will hold a card shower for our new pastors. Those wishing to do so may bring cards or notes of encouragement.

Following the service there will be a picnic in Douglas Park (Mason & MacArthur Blvd.) Use the parking lot off Mason. We will be in pavilion #3 next to the parking lot. The church will furnish hot dogs, burgers, condiments, beverages, and table service. Bring a covered dish to share. Lawn chairs are also encouraged.

In the event of rain, we will gather in Merriam Hall.

May Family Virtue: Patience

Our May family virtue is Patience: waiting until later for what you want now.

We hope that you’ll join us as we work to help your children grasp the importance of this virtue for their lives. Our Focus Group leaders and Storytellers will use Bible stories and activities each Sunday to teach your children about God. The first Sunday of each month we’ll also have additional Cue Resources available to help!
