We believe that it is important for Christians to worship together on a regular basis. By placing a priority on public worship, we not only express our love for God, we also fall deeper in love with God. Worshiping together as God’s chosen people also provides the opportunity to celebrate God’s story publicly, proclaiming the glorious works of God to the world around us and to those who are present with us in the worship service.
The weekly worship service is a great entry point to the church and to a faith relationship with Jesus Christ. The weekly worship service is also important for the spiritual growth of those who already live in a relationship with Jesus. Whether you are new to the community, seeking to understand more about Jesus, or desiring to grow as a Christian, we invite you to join us for worship.
Central Baptist Church currently has three public worship services every Sunday. At our location in Springfield (501 S. 4th), we worship at 8:30 (traditional) and 11:00 AM (contemporary). In New Berlin (600 W. Birch) our worship service is at 10:30 AM (traditional). For those who are not able to be present with us in one of the services, we provide a weekly podcast of the sermon or teaching message each week.
If you feel gifted and called to serve in worship ministry, please contact our Worship Director Robert Reynolds. Some examples of ways to serve in worship ministry include singing with the worship band or choir, playing an instrument, reading Scripture, volunteering as an usher, running sound and/or media, etc.
